If using the brown sugar, sprinkle it over the slices now.Toss in the pan and flip slices until both sides are brown and caramelized.Remove the pan from the heat and set aside.In a small bowl, mash together the remaining third of your banana with a fork very well until it becomes smooth and syrupy (you can also use a blender for this).Stir the vanilla, molasses, and salt into the mashed banana until smooth.
