Ingredients: 1 oz Ancho Reyes Verde; 1 oz Hendrick's Gin; 1 oz fresh lime; 0.5 oz rich simple syrup (2:1 sugar:water); 1 slice cucumber

The Gimlet is a classic cocktail comprised of gin, lime and sugar. But what happens when you add a spicy green poblano liqueur to the mix? Well, you get the Ancho Gimlet (ancho simply meaning a poblano that's been dried). It's supplied via Ancho Reyes Verde, the peppery Mexican liqueur that adds notes of roasted poblano to anything it touches.Toss in a little fresh cucumber, and you've got a festive take on the Gimlet that gives the drink a welcome kick without sacrificing refreshment.

oz Hendrick's Gin

lime

0.5 oz rich simple syrup (2:1 sugar:water)

cucumber

Shake all ingredients with ice to chill and dilute.  

Strain through a fine mesh strainer into a coupe.
