Step 1
Combine mince, diced onion, breadcrumbs and egg in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Shake the flour over the bench and turn the mince mixture out. Shape into a large flat patty and use a scone cutter to cut rounds out. Coat each patty in the flour.
Step 3
Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Cook the rissoles, in batches, until browned all over and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm.
Step 4
Discard excess oil from the pan. Return pan to the heat. Add the sliced onion and garlic. Cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until onion is soft.
Step 5
Dissolve the gravy mix into the water and add to the pan, stirring until thickened.
Step 6
Return the rissoles to the pan and cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until heated through, turning in the gravy. Serve.
