FIRST STEP:Cut the steak across grain

Use a very quick sear on each side of the slices, using olive oil in a hot skillet, set the steak to the side

SECOND STEP:Cook the onions, garlic and mushrooms in a skillet with the butter, until the onions are translucent. Remove the onion and mushroom from the pan

Add the steak back into the pan and add 1 cup of the broth, the Worcestershire and the salt. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes

THIRD STEP:In a bowl whisk the flour into the remaining beef broth. Stir this into the beef mixture, heat to boiling. Add in the mushroom and onion and bring to a boil again.

Stir in the sour cream, just until it is melted. You do not want to boil this.

FOURTH STEP:Serve over egg noodles, mashed potatoes or rice.

Garnish with chopped parsley.
