Step 1
In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger and clove, then set aside.

In a large bowl, combine the butter, both sugars, molasses and egg. Whisk to combine.

Add the dry ingredients into the wet, and use a rubber spatula to mix until combined.

Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Preheat your oven to 350° and line a rimmed baking sheet with silpat or parchment paper.

Use a small scoop (about 1 to 2 tablespoons) to measure cookie dough and then roll into balls. Roll in sugar and bake on the middle rack of your preheated oven for 12-14 minutes.
Step 7
Let cookies cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire cooling rack and repeating with remaining dough.
