Ingredients: 2 ounces bourbon; ½ ounce buttered pecan simple syrup; 2 dashes aromatic bitters; Orange and pecan garnish

Believe it or not, the ice cream aisle is full of cocktail ideas. This Buttered Pecan Old Fashioned recipe was inspired by one of my favorite flavors of ice cream, and I love using pecans during the holidays. The only preparation you need to do ahead of time is to make (or buy!) the delectable buttered pecan syrup. No shame in buying — when you're hosting a holiday party, it's best to stock up without worrying about an added preparation step.

Buttered Pecan Old Fashioned

bourbon

pecan simple syrup

aromatic bitters

Orange and pecan garnish

Add bourbon, syrup, and bitters to a mixing glass with ice.

Stir then strain over a cube into rocks glass.
