Export 2 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
Stir beignet mix and water to form a dough.
Step 2
Turn out onto a well floured surface and roll out to 1/4 inch thick.
Step 3
Use a pizza cutter to cut dough into squares about 2 1/2 inches thick.
Step 4
Heat oil to 370 F. Once it's heated, drop a small end piece of dough into the oil. If it bubbles and rises to the top within a few seconds, you're ready to make your beignets.
Step 5
Drop 1-3 beignets into the hot oil (depending on the size of your pan). Cook for 1-2 minutes and then flip over so the other side cooks. Take them out when golden brown. (I recommend opening one of the first ones up to make sure the inside is fully cooked).
Step 6
Let beignets rest on a paper towel and dust liberally with powdered sugar. Enjoy while hot!
