Export 3 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
Preheat oven to 200°C (Gas mark 6/390°F). Line 2 large baking trays with baking paper.
Step 2
Unroll the puff pastry sheet and use a crown shaped cookie cutter to cut out as many crown shapes as you can.
Step 3
Place the pastry crowns on the baking sheets, leaving space between them to allow for spreading.
Step 4
Break the egg into a small bowl and lightly whisk. Brush the pastry crowns with the egg.
Step 5
Finely grate the cheddar cheese. Scatter the grated cheese over each pastry crown.
Step 6
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the crowns are puffed up and the cheese is golden.
Step 7
Serve your cheese crowns warm, or cool them on a baking rack. Once completely cold, store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
