Dagwood Dogs recipe

Step 1

Cook hot dogs according to packet directions.

Step 2

Mix flour, corn meal, sugar, salt and bicarbonate of soda.

Step 3

Combine milk and yolks.

Step 4

Dry hot dogs with a paper towel, then cut in half and insert skewers.

Step 5

Heat oil in a saucepan or fryer.

Step 6

Coat each hot dog in batter.

Step 7

Hold hot dog by skewer and spin slowly in the hot oil.

Step 8

Allow to cook for 5-6 minutes or until golden.
