DIY Cake Mix (Homemade Cake Mix)

Step 1

Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and pudding mix.

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 months.

Pre-heat oven to 350°F. Coat a 9×13 baking pan with nonstick spray. Set aside.

Add the pre-made cake mix into the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment.

With the mixer on low add in the oil, eggs, vanilla, and buttermilk. Mix for 30 seconds.

Turn the mixer up to medium speed and mix for 1 minute, scraping the sides of the bowl as necessary.

Step 7

Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the center of the cake is set.

Step 8

When the cake is cooled, frost with desired frosting.
