Step 1
Peel a pomelo, collect its membranes.
Step 2
Pick a long membrane strip (about 5 inch long, 1 inch wide), cut fringes about 2/3 into the membrane strip. Set aside.
Step 3
Cut the rest of membranes into the shape of rose petal. We will need about 15 petals. The sizes could be vary. You can cut 5 small ones, 5 medium ones, and 5 large ones. Set aside.
Step 4
Apply double sided tape on the edge of each petal and the strip.
Step 5
Roll around and stick the long membrane strip to a stick.
Step 6
Tape small petals to the base, then the medium ones, lastly the large ones. Overlap subsequent petals by covering 1/3 of the previous petal.
Step 7
After you have taped all the petals to the stick, gently spread the petals open, so they look more vibrant.
