Step 1
Cook ground beef in a large saute pan over medium-high heat.
Step 2
Crumble the ground beef well as it cooks.
Step 3
Once the ground beef is fully cooked drain the grease from the pan.

Add the taco seasoning, onion powder, salt and water to the pan.
Step 5
Stir well and continue cooking over medium-high heat until all of the ground beef is coated in seasoning and no liquid remains in the pan.
Step 6
Remove the pan from the heat and set the ground beef aside to cool.
Step 7
Dump the chopped lettuce, diced red onions, diced green peppers, diced tomatoes and shredded cheese into a large mixing bowl.
Step 8
Toss well.
Step 9
Add the salsa, ranch dressing and cooled ground beef to the bowl and toss well again.
Step 10
Add the crumbled Doritos to the bowl and toss just until the chips are mixed into the salad.
Step 11
Serve immediately or the Doritos will get soggy.
