Easter Egg Rice Krispies

Step 1

Make Rice Krispie treats in 4 different batches for the 4 different color of Easter eggs.

Step 2

Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in the microwave in a large microwave safe bowl.  Add 5 cups of mini marshmallows.  Heat in 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval until completely melted.

Step 3

Add a few drops of pink food coloring to the melted marshmallow mix. Stir until well combined.

Step 4

Stir in 4 cups of Rice Krispies cereal. Mix until completely coated. Spread evenly in prepared pan.

Step 5

Follow the same process 3 more times with the purple, yellow and blue food coloring.

Step 6

Allow the Rice Krispie mixture to cool slightly.

Step 7

Now it’s time to make the Easter eggs!

Step 8

Grab a handful of the Rice Krispie mixture and use your hands to form the Easter eggs.

Step 9

Then allow the Rice Krispie Eggs to cool completely.
