Heat the peanut oil in a very hot wok.

Season the steak strips with salt and pepper and quickly stir fry for only a minute or two. Be careful not to overcook the beef at this stage ; a minute or two is really long enough. Remove beef from the wok and set aside.
Step 3
Add another couple of tablespoons of peanut oil to the wok and quickly sauté the minced garlic for only a few seconds.
Step 4
Add all of the remaining ingredients to the to the wok except the cornstarch slurry and bell pepper..
Step 5
Simmer the sauce for about 5 minutes then stir in the corn starch slurry, stirring constantly until it thickens to the consistency of a glaze.
Step 6
Toss the beef back into the sauce along with one chopped red bell pepper and cook only enough to heat through; about a minute.
Step 7
Serve immediately over rice or Chinese noodles and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and/or green onions.
