How To Make The Dalgona Candy Recipe From Squid Game

Step 1

In order to make dalgona, made famous in the US by Squid Game, stir the sugar over medium heat until it is fully dissolved. Then add just a pinch of baking soda and stir once again until completely combined and liquified.

Step 2

Grab a baking sheet and create the shape you'd like for your candy. You can use a cookie cutter to help mold the circle, or just eye it by hand.

Step 3

As the sugar is hardening, gently press a shape into the center of your treat. Do not put a lot of pressure when forming your design because it will crack your candy.

Step 4

During Episode 3, The Man with the Umbrella, we saw four shapes being used: circle, triangle, umbrella, and star. Press a smaller cookie cutter shape of your choice into the center of the wafer-like substance and create an imprint of the design.

Step 5

Allow candy to harden and cool.
