Ingredients: 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano; 1 teaspoon dried marjoram; 1 teaspoon dried thyme; 1/2 teaspoon dried basil; 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary; 1/2 teaspoon dried sage

This delicious Italian seasoning recipe is simple to make at home!

Italian Seasoning

basil

rosemary

Whisk all seasonings together in a bowl until combined. Use immediately or store in a sealed container.

*Feel free to adjust the ratio to make whatever size of batch you would like.

Silly note here from a math guy... Recipe states that the yield is 4 teaspoons, which is in fact 1 and 1/3 tablespoons. But the sum of all the ingredients is 1.5 + 1 + 1 + 0.5. + 0.5. + 0.5 =  5 tsps, or 1 and 2/3 tbsp.  PS .. GimmeSomeOven is a super site! Thanks so much.

I used this for the Italian seasoning required in stuffed bell peppers. The minute I put it in the sauce I knew it was the best. Smelled wonderful cooking and absolutely divine when we tasted it.

Easy and full of flavor! Went perfectly in my meat sauce for lasagna.

I needed some Italian seasoning for a batch of lasagna soup I was making. Found this recipe and it was exactly what I needed! I didn't have marjorim on hand, but will make another batch when I do.

Its got to be better than fake Italian seasoning!
I'm puttig it on my list of things to try, like for instance the Goulash I'm going to make for dinner tonight.

I had to make a big pot of spaghetti and realized I had no Italian seasoning for the sauce. I made this Italian seasoning with everything except marjoram because I didn't have that spice in my cabinet,  it was awesome, I will be making just about all my dry seasoning now, so easy and better tasting than store bought seasoning,  Thank you for sharing this recipe.
