Step 1
Make the cake according to the box instructions in a 9x13-inch baking pan. Remove it from the oven and set aside to cool for 15 minutes.
Step 2
While the cake cools, whisk the jello and boiling water in a medium bowl until dissolved. Stir in the cold water.
Step 3
Using a fork or toothpick, poke holes all over the top of the warm cake. Carefully pour the jello mixture over the cake, then refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
Step 4
