Pre-heat oven to 425°F.

Cut salmon into equal portions.

Rub the salmon with olive oil and season with salt and pepper and place on a baking sheet.

While salmon is baking prepare the lemon butter sauce.

In a sauce pan, add 4 tbsp of butter to 2 cloves of minced garlic. Cook over medium heat till fragrant, about 2 minutes.
Step 7
Whisk in fresh lemon juice, chopped parsley, and black pepper. The sauce will thicken. Remove from heat. Set aside while the salmon finishes cooking.
Step 8
Plate the salmon and pour the warm lemon butter sauce over the salmon. Serve.
