Ninja Creami Orange Soda Ice Cream

Step 1

Add orange soda to a large liquid measuring cup or a small mixing bowl. Using a spoon, stir the soda gently but constantly. This will help carbonation bubbles to rise to the surface, where they will pop. Keep stirring for about 4-5 minutes, as this will partially flatten the soda. Give it a taste--it should be semi-flat.

Step 2

Add the Dream Whip mix to the soda. Stir well to incorporate (it may fizz more while you're mixing it, which is fine). If needed, skim excess foam from the top.

Step 3

Transfer mixture to a Ninja Creami pint container and loosely apply the lid. I kept my lid partially open to allow gas to release). Freeze for at least 24 hours on a level surface.

Step 4

Remove pint from freezer and take off lid. Place the pint into the Ninja Creami's outer bowl, securing the outer bowl lid.

Step 5

Place the bowl apparatus into the Ninja Creami machine, twisting it into place. Press the Lite Ice Cream button and allow the cycle to complete.

Step 6

Remove the pint from the machine and check its consistency. If it appears crumbly, place it back in the machine and press the Re-spin button. If it's still kind of powdery after that, add a tablespoon of water and Re-spin again.
