Export 7 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
In a large bowl, mix 2 cups milk with sugar until sugar is completely dissolved. Add 4 cups heavy cream and mix well. Add 2 tbsps vanilla extract and vanilla beans scraped from pod (if using). Mix well and chill for a few hours.
Step 2
After chilling, stir the mixture well before processing. Pour chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and process according to your ice cream maker's instructions. With most machines, you will get a soft serve texture. Freeze the ice cream for a few hours to make it harder.
Step 3
I made this in a 4 quart or 3.7 liter Ice Cream Maker. Halve this recipe if you are using a smaller ice cream maker.
Step 4
1.5 cups Milk, 3 cups Heavy Cream, 1 1/8 cup sugar, 1 tbsp plus 1 tsp vanilla extract, 3 pinches salt, Beans scraped from 1/2 vanilla pod or more per your taste
