Use this powdered sugar icing on Christmas cookie recipes, to drizzle over your favorite cakes, and any other sweet treat you desire. When you don't want or need heavy-duty buttercream, keep a bag of icing sugar around. This powdered sugar frosting adds just the right amount of sweetness without going too far.

Powdered Sugar Icing

In a small bowl combine powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk. Stir in additional milk or juice, 1 teaspoon at a time, until it reaches drizzling consistency. Makes 1/2 cup (enough to drizzle over one 10-inch tube cake).


I followed the recipe to the tea! And it tasted disgusting and too much like powder sugar. At first it was too thick and I had to add more milk. Very disappointing!!!!!

Perfect icing for Cinnamon Rolls. I would like to know if the icing in the stores are made like this.
