Preheat oven to 450ºF.

Fill a large pot with 10 cups of water. Mix in 2/3 cup baking soda, and bring water to a boil.

Place each frozen roll in the boiling water, top side down, for 60 seconds. Remove and place (the unboiled, bottom side down) on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 7
Whisk together the egg yolk with 1 tablespoon of water. Brush the egg yolk mixture over the boiled rolls. Sprinkle dough with coarse sea salt.
Step 9
Bake for 10 to 14 minutes until tops are dark in color.
Step 11
Allow pretzel rolls to cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving. Although best served warm and fresh, rolls may be cooled to room temperature and stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
