Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced.Grease deep 19cm-square cake pan; line base and two opposite sides with baking paper, extending paper 5cm above sides.

Step 2

Melt butter and chocolate in medium saucepan over low heat. Stir in sugar; cook, stirring, 5 minutes. Cool 10 minutes.

Step 3

Stir in egg and sifted flour then nuts and Choc Bits. Spread mixture into pan.

Step 4

Bake brownies about 30 minutes. Cool in pan before cutting into squares. Serve dusted with icing sugar, if you like.
