Step 1
In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sausage. Cook for about 5 minutes or until browned.

Add bell peppers and onion to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.

Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 4
Pour in the canned diced tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
Step 5
Bring the mixture to a simmer and reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it cook for 10 minutes.
Step 6
Remove the lid and let it cook for an additional 5 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken.
Step 7
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
