Export 7 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
Prepare the ribs by removing the membrane.
Step 2
Grab a bowl and mix together the brown sugar, paprika, ground black pepper, kosher salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder.
Step 3
Use the rub to season both sides of the ribs. Be sure to use enough that both sides will be covered.
Step 4
Preheat your smoker to 250F and add in some wood chips. For this recipe, I used hickory.
Step 5
Place the ribs into the smoker and let them cook for 3 hours.
Step 6
After 3 hours, add in the liquid butter, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar on the meat side of the ribs. Then cover the ribs in foil. Put them back into the smoker and let them cook for 2 hours.
Step 7
Once the 2 hours are up, unwrap the ribs and glaze them with your favorite BBQ sauce. Leave the ribs unwrapped and place them back into the smoker for 1 more hour.
