Step 1
Heat a sauté pan over medium heat, and add in the oil and jalapeños. Sauté for 5 minutes. Then add in the garlic and turn the heat down to low. Sauté for 5 more minutes.
Step 2
Turn the heat back to high and add in the salt and water, then stir and bring to a simmer. Cover the pan, turn the heat back to low, and simmer for 10 minutes. Next, remove the pan from the heat and allow to cool slightly.
Step 3
Add the pepper mixture to a blender, then add in the cilantro and vinegar and blend until smooth.
Step 4
Pour the hot sauce into the jar of your choice and refrigerate. Store in an airtight jar.
Step 5
Shake before using as the sauce may settle and separate. Hot sauce will stay good for up to 1 month.
