Step 1
Begin by removing the dates seeds by cutting a slit along one side of the date. Place the pitted dates on a large plate or baking sheet.
Step 2
Fill the center of the date with about ½ to 1 tsp of tahini, however much will fit! Place these tahini filled dates in the freezer.
Step 3
Meanwhile, melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil on the stove in a double boiler over medium-low heat. Use oven mitts if the side of the bowl is warm to the touch. (Instructions for a double boiler: Fill a saucepan with several inches of water and place a heat safe mixing bowl over the saucepan in order to melt your chocolate.)
Step 4
Stir until the chocolate is fully melted and remove from the heat. Let the chocolate cool slightly so it's not too hot for your fingers as you dip the dates.
Step 5
Dip your tahini stuffed dates in the chocolate and sprinkle with desired toppings. Place them in the fridge to cool until the chocolate is set and enjoy!
