Step 1
In a saucepan over medium heat, add half the milk, sugar and vanillin sugar. Just before boiling, add the rest of the milk with the dissolved custard. Quickly whisk and cook until custard has thickened. Cool the saucepan in bowl of cold water, stirring occasionally.
Step 2
Take one sheet of puff pastry, cut into four squares. Spoon the cold custard onto the pastry squares. Brush the corners with milk and press well together. Place pastry squares on lightly greased baking tray. Whisk egg and a little extra milk and brush top of pastry squares.
Step 3
Bake at 200 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with coffee or tea.
