Step 1
Soak bread in milk and separately grind walnuts into a paste.
Step 2
Beat the egg yolks with sugar and add the walnut paste. Mix all the ingredients well. Whisk the egg whites and fold them into the mixture.
Step 3
Butter the base and sides of a baking dish and sprinkle it with breadcrumbs, then pour the mixture into it and bake in a moderate oven for 30 to 40 minutes or till done. Serve hot.
