Step 1
Cut the wonton wrappers into strips about 1/2"x 2".
Step 2
Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray. Then line the strips on the baking sheet. S&P to taste. Bake for 5-8 minutes, or until crispy.
Step 3
Heat about an inch of oil in a pan over medium heat (to reach 360°F). Test the oil by placing one strip in. If it browns to fast, turn down the heat.
Step 4
Place about 12 wonton strips evenly over the oil (you may need to do a few batches). Watch carefully as they'll burn fast. Once you notice the bottoms turning golden brown, flip and cook a few more seconds. After a couple batches, you may need to turn the heat to low.
Step 5
Once the strips are golden brown, remove with a slotted spoon. Place on a plate lined with paper towels to remove excess grease.
