Export 6 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
Start by cutting the chicken into 1 to 2-inch pieces. Then toss them with the cornstarch.
Step 2
Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Then set the chicken into the air fryer basket, air fry for 5 minutes at 370 degrees F, air fryer setting. Then toss the chicken and air fry for another 5-7 minutes.
Step 3
Note: If you have an air fryer basket, shake the basket. If you have an air fryer oven, use a pair of tongs and flip the chicken.
Step 4
Cook the chicken until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
Step 5
While the chicken is cooking, prepare the sauce to add the olive oil, bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, and minced garlic into a saucepan. Over low-medium heat until the sauce starts to simmer.
Step 6
If you want to thicken the sauce in a small bowl, make the cornstarch slurry by missing the water and cornstarch.
Step 7
Toss the chicken with the sauce.
Step 8
Serve over rice, plate, serve and enjoy!
