Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Cream together the butter, 2 cups of the sugar, and the eggs.

Add the buttermilk, flour, and baking soda.

Divide 1/2 of the batter (or a little less) into 2 greased loaf pans, so that there is 1/4 of the batter in each pan.
Step 5
In a separate bowl, mix together the remaining sugar and cinnamon.
Step 6
Sprinkle 3/4 of the cinnamon mixture on top of the batter in each pan.
Step 7
Add the remaining batter to the pans and sprinkle the tops with the last of the cinnamon topping.
Step 8
Swirl the batter with a knife.
Step 9
Bake until the loaves are done, about 45-50 minutes.
Step 10
Cool the loaves in the pans for 20 minutes before removing them from the pan.
Step 11
Serve!
