In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and beefy onion soup mix until combined.
Step 2
Spread a little of the soup mixture onto the bottom of the slow cooker.

Sprinkle half the onions on to the bottom of the slow cooker.
Step 4
Add your cube steak on top of soup and onions.
Step 5
Pour the remaining soup mixture on top of the meat.
Step 6
Sprinkle the rest of the onions over the top.
Step 7
Place the butter slices on top of everything.
Step 8
Cover and slow cook on low for 6-8 hours or high 3-4 hours until the meat is tender.
Step 9
Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Step 10
Serve over rice, egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
