Flour's Famous Banana Bread

all-purpose flour

baking soda

cinnamon

salt

sugar

eggs

bananas, very ripe, mashed

creme fraiche

vanilla extract

walnuts, toasted and chopped

Set oven to 350 degrees F. Line the bottom of a loaf pan with parchment paper.

Sift together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Beat sugar and eggs with a whisk until light and fluffy, about 10 minutes. Drizzle in oil. Add mashed bananas, creme fraiche, and vanilla. Fold in dry ingredients and nuts. Pour into a lined loaf pan and bake for about 45 minutes to 1 hour.

This recipe is great!! I made it as is only doubling the cinnamon and it came out so moist and tasty. I also prepared it egg free and wheat free. It did not taste like a GF bake at all. It was also very easy to turn I to a GF and egg free bake.

Delicious recipe! I admit, I did modify it to my own taste. It was a perfect recipe as a base for that though. I cut back on sugar  by 1/4th replaced 2 tablespoons white sugar with brown sugar, added fresh nutmeg, extra cinnamon, applesauce instead of the oil, and pecans and walnuts, toasted till fragrant like suggested. The knife doesn't come out clean when doing the done test, but that's OK, as long as it wasn't goopy. I baked the full suggested time in a gas oven and doubled the recipe when I made it. Everyone loved it! 

Delicious, best banana bread I can remember making. Did sub butter for oil and added raisins (steeped in hot warm first) 

Phenomenal flavor. I'm at 5,280 feet so I cut the baking soda in half. Also subbed butterscotch chips for the walnuts since I don't like them. Used my stand mixer rather than hand mixing. Cooked the full 60 minutes. Absolutely delicious!!!
