Step 1
For the marinade, grate the onion, apple, garlic, and ginger into a large bowl. Add the soy sauce, sake, orange juice, sugar and pepper. Stir all ingredients until combined.
Step 2
Add the sliced lamb to the bowl. Mix and marinate for 15 minutes or overnight.
Step 3
Set some of the sliced vegetables with serving plates on a table along with an electric hot plate, or a medium frying pan if unavailable. Turn the heat to medium high and add some vegetable oil to the pan. Place some vegetables around the edges, and then turn the heat down to medium. Cook the vegetables for about 2-3 mins. Then add some of the lamb slices in the middle of the pan and continue to cook for 3-5 mins until the lamb is cooked. You will need to turn over the vegetables and lamb as needed to avoid any one side from over cooking.
Step 4
While cooking, spoon some marinade from the bowl over the vegetables.
Step 5
When the lamb is cooked through, plate the finished meat and vegetables and then add some more to the pan and repeat the cooking process. Enjoy warm.
