Step 1

Stove: If cooking on the stove, add more liquid (2 cups). Bring the lentils to a boil, then lower the heat to a gentle simmer. Cook for about 20 to 30 minutes, or until lentils are soft.
Step 4
Adjust seasoning and liquid as needed. Serve with rice, naan, or toasted bread. Garnish with chopped cilantro.
