Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.

In a bowl, mix together half of the soup mix with the beef, bread crumbs, egg, salt, and pepper.

Shape into 6 oval patties.

Brown patties on both sides in a skillet over medium-high heat. Set patties aside. Pour off and discard any excess fat.

In the same pan, mix the remaining soup mix together with the ketchup, mustard, water, and Worcestershire sauce. Add the butter and whisk until melted and smooth.
Step 6
Reduce the heat to low and whisk in the heavy cream.
Step 7
Spread the hash browns over the bottom of the baking dish. Top with the chopped onion. Arrange the browned meat patties over the potatoes.
Step 8
Pour sauce over the patties.
Step 9
Bake for 30-40 minutes until the potatoes are golden and the sauce is bubbly. Serve immediately.
