Step 1
Preheat oven to 180°C. Cut each pastry sheet into four triangles, brush with egg and place on a greased baking tray. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
Step 2
Meanwhile, place sugar and 60ml (1/4 cup) water in a pan over medium heat and stir to dissolve sugar. Increase the heat to high and boil for 1-2 minutes. Add the berries and cook for a further 5 minutes. Allow to cool slightly.
Step 3
To serve, place one pastry triangle on each plate, then top with some warm custard and a spoonful of berries. Finish with a second pastry triangle and a dusting of icing sugar.
