Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Toss the brussels sprouts in a bowl with the olive oil, pepper, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder until coated

Place brussel sprouts on a nonstick baking sheet, and spread out into an even layer

Roast at 400 degrees for 10 minutes
Step 5
At this point the brussels should be soft enough to cut through
Step 6
Remove from oven and cut each brussel sprout in half and place back on the baking sheet
Step 7
Sprinkle the top of the halved brussels sprouts with the fresh grated parmesan cheese
Step 8
Roast for 15 minutes, then stir
Step 9
Roast the brussels sprouts an additional 15 minutes, then stir
Step 10
Roast for up to 10 more minutes, checking closely, until the cheese begins to brown and form crispy edges on the brussels sprouts
