Tasty Strawberry Bread

Step 1

FIRST STEP:Preheat the oven to 350*

In a medium bowl, stir together sugar, milk, oil, butter, egg and vanilla

SECOND STEP:In a separate bowl combine flour baking powder and salt

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined

THIRD STEP:In a small bowl toss together the flour with the strawberries

Gently fold the strawberries into the batter

FOURTH STEP:Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan

Bake in a 350* oven for 50 to 55 minutes

FIFTH STEP:Check for doneness by poking a toothpick in the center. If it comes out clean it is done.

Allow the bread to cool for 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a cooling rack until it is cooled completely

SIXTH STEP:To make the glaze, combine the powdered sugar and the butter, the vanilla and the diced strawberries.

SEVENTH STEP:Mix until smooth

Spread the glaze on top of the bread and serve
