The BEST Guacamole!

avocados,

jalapeño, cored and finely diced (add more or less to taste)

red onion

lime juice

cilantro

fine sea salt

cumin

(Optional: 1 roma tomato, cored and chopped)

In a medium mixing bowl, use a fork or a potato masher to mash the avocados to your desired consistency.

Stir in the jalapeño, onion, lime juice, cilantro, salt, cumin until well-mixed.  (If adding tomatoes, stir them in at the very end.)

Taste and season with extra salt (plus extra lime juice, jalapeño and/or cilantro) if needed.

Slightly too much lime juice. Otherwise, perfect. Out of the three of us, one LOVED it, one liked it except the lime juice was heavy, and the third ate half a serving, but couldn't continue due to the lime juice being overpowering.

Very good and easy to follow recipe. I used 1/4 of a red chile pepper instead of a jalapeno pepper. I used like 5 grape tomatoes instead of 1 Roma because it's all I had. I also found that 1/2 tsp of salt was not enough for my taste. (Personal preference, I used closer to 1.5 - 2 tsp of salt). I also used the juice of 1 lime which probably wasn't much more than a tbsp but I didn't measure.

Cilantro!!! I left out the onions. Don’t like onions. It was the best guacamole ever on tacos! Can’t wait to try it on hamburgers!

This guac was amazing. We unfortunately did't have cilantro, but it was still great. We added an extra tbsp of lime juice and a tsp of garlic......best ever!

This is a great recipe myself when making mexican dishes like nachos etc. i find since salsa already has plenty of tomato in it i would leave the guacamole as is. Like you said it's optional. Unless you have no salsa around. I like the idea of keeping it green! :)

I add in a bit of garlic powder for the sake that I’m obsessed with garlic. Great recipe!!

I made it today. Added some fresh garlic, everything bagel, taco seasoning. Red pepper. Delicious!!😁😋😋

This truly was the best guac!  I decided at the end to finely chop the seeded roma tomato and add it. I also followed the suggested additions and added just a smidge of greek yogurt, though it was great without it - I was stretching it, so there'd be more! I'm wondering if people who said there was too much lime used lime concentrate instead of juice from a lime; that could be the cause.

Best guacamole recipe that I've tried. We ate it on tortilla chips and also had on our salmon sandwiches. Delicious!

My first time making homemade guacamole and this recipe was absolutely perfect! The guacamole came out tasting great following the recipe exactly as written. I did add the tomato which made it better than the ones freshly made in our local supermarket. Now I can make delicious guacamole at home. Thank you!

I doubled up on this recipe and it was delicious and a definite crowd pleaser however, I added 3 gloves of garlic and a can of Rotel diced tomatoes w/ chilis to it.  So GOOD!
