Conversation Heart Surprise Valentines Cupcakes Recipe

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 (or whatever you box cake mix requires)

Step 2

Combine cake mix, water, oil and eggs.

Step 3

Stir to mix until the batter is not lumpy.

Step 4

Pour into cupcake liners or greased muffin tins according to package directions (usually about 1/2 full)

Step 5

Bake

Step 6

Set out to cool completely

Step 7

Once cooled, use a serrated knife to cut out the middle of the cupcake from the top

Step 8

Pour in Conversation Heart candies

Step 9

Replace cake that was cut out (if you need to cut the bottom portion to give space, do that)

Step 10

Frost over the replaced cake area

Step 11

Decorate with additional Conversation Heart candies
