How to Crochet a Headband

Step 1

Make a foundation chain in the length of your headband size. Suggested sizes for adults - S= 20", M=21.5" L- 23". See the chart for more sizes.

Step 2

Double crochet into 3rd chain from hook. Double crochet into each chain.* Chain 2, turn. Double crochet into each stitch from the previous row. Repeat from * until the headband is the required width. Finish off. Suggested width is 4" (10cm) wide.

Step 3

Join the short ends with a slip stitch.

Step 4

Use the tail of the yarn to wrap around the join until it is gathered. Secure tail with a knot.

Step 5

Make a small narrow crochet strip for the center with dc approximately 1x3 inches (2.5x7.5cm). Adjust to your preference and yarn thickness. Wrap the strip around the gathered section and stitch the ends.

Optional add crochet flowers.
