Shenandoah Valley Apple Cake

Preheat oven to 350 Grease pan with butter and add the 1 tablespoon of flour to the greased pan and dump out the excess. Mix all the ingredients for the the cake except the apples in the mixer. Add the apples Cook the cake for 60 minutes Mix ingredients for the icing and bring to a boil. After poking holes in the top of the cake so the icing will soak in, pour the icing over the top.
