Step 1

1 In the pitcher of a blender, combine the onion, garlic, miso, soy sauce, sesame oil, vinegar, mirin, water, salt and pepper and process until smooth

2 Remove the center cap from the blender lid and, with the blender running, add the vegetable oil in a slow stream

3 Taste, and add salt and pepper if needed
