Sausage and Sauerkraut

red potatoes, cubed

canola oil

(16 ounces) sauerkraut,

pepper

Very good dish.  Didn&#039;t change the recipe, except I used homemade sauerkraut so I didn&#039;t rinse it.  Making it again tonight.  So easy and and everyone loved it.

Husband and I loved this. The kids did not like it and refused to eat it.

Only added 1 tsp of caraway seed, this was delicious and so easy to prepare.  A keeper.

Thank you so much for this yummy recipe... I used the basic supplies from it. I did drain and rinse my sauerkraut so it wasn&#039;t so tart  and instead of cooking everything on top of the stove in a skillet I put mine in the crockpot on low all day!

This was delicious. I did rinse and strain the sauerkraut first. I added 1/2 cup chicken stock, a teaspoon of caraway seeds, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, and then 1 diced green apple as the last ingredient and let everything simmer about 20 minutes or until potatoes soft to the fork. With some dijon mustard on the side. Mmmm mm!!

Super easy, quick meal!  I added sliced carrots while the potatoes were cooking and covered the pan for about an extra 5 minutes to let them cook. Gave the dish a little extra favor and sweetness.

Delicious and convenient!  I also browned the sausage and potatoes separately.  I then mixed the ingredients and heated them through.  I added a teaspoon of caraway and extra black pepper to the mix.  Will make this again!

i actually created a dish very similiar to this just last week.  after the initial frying, simmer for 30-60 minutes.  it sweetens up the taste.  the kraut will provide moisture.
