3 ingredient bread

Welcome fall baking with a fast &amp; easy batch of my vegan coconut flour flax focaccia! Soft, tender &amp; made with 3 ingredients (plus water, and optional salt), it is grain-free, gluten-free, oil-free, yeast-free, sugar-free, and customizable with any toppings and flavors you like.

Vegan Coconut Flour Flax Focaccia (3 ingredients, grain-free)

flaxseed meal

coconut flour

baking powder ((certified gluten-free, as needed))

salt

water

Preheat

Preheat the oven to 400F (200 C). Lightly spray a large baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray (alternatively, use a piece of parchment paper).

In a large bowl, whisk the flaxseed meal, coconut flour, baking powder and (optional) salt. Stir in the water until completely blended. The mixture will be loose upon initial mixing but will thicken into a moist dough in 1 to 2 minutes. (Note: If the dough not appear moist upon mixing, add a bit more water).

Shape

Evenly press the dough onto the prepared baking pan, pressing into an even, 8-inch (20 cm) square. Dimple the dough with your fingertips. If desired, sprinkle with optional toppings.

Bake

Bake the focaccia in the preheated oven for 18 to 22 minutes until surface appears dry and golden brown.

Cool

Cool the focaccia on the baking sheet for 10 minutes (it will be delicate before cooling). Slide the focaccia onto a cooling rack to cool completely before cutting into pieces (I typically cut into 9 squares). Enjoy!

Nom nom nom, I love this bread! I made my 5th batch in just a few weeks because it is so easy and versatile. I've done different herbs, but my latest batch got a generous sprinkling of everything bagel seasoning (having major bagel cravings while trying to stick with low carbs). This is my go to grain free bread! It works great as pizza crust or for sandwiches. I like it plain, too, makes good toast for breakfast. Thanks for all that you do for those of us with dietary l8mitations, it is a lifesaver!

Note: You can also use a stand mixer or a bowl with a hand mixer.

Preheat the oven to 350F (177C).

In a stand mixer with the whisk attachment, add in the water and egg white powder. Whisk on medium speed until stiff peaks form.

Now, add in the yogurt and gently fold it into the fluffy egg whites.

Pour the mixture into a lined loaf pan and bake for 35 minutes or until golden on top. Enjoy with butter 🧈, sandwich toppings or any way you like 💋.

This bread is best to be eaten fresh out of the oven. I personally don&#39;t enjoy the taste or texture as it sits out but let me know if you do!

Honestly, when I first heard about bread made from egg whites and Greek yogurt, my initial reaction was, “Immediately no.” But as a certified carb fiend, I rely on finding low-carb alternatives for my favorite starchy foods that help me feel like life is still worth living ?. On a serious note, this Cloud Bread will never replace the real deal, but if you’re following a keto diet or looking for a carb-free alternative, it’s actually a pretty great option.

3 Ingredient bread (no yeast) is similar to quick breads. It is made in a loaf pan, making it perfect as a sandwich bread. The texture of this no-knead bread is heartier and denser than a yeast bread recipe. No additional rise time means you’ll have fresh bread quickly.

3 Ingredient Bread (no yeast)

unsalted butter (melted, divided (optional))

Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat oven to 400ºF. Brush melted butter liberally on the bottom and sides of an 8 ½ x 4 ½ -inch nonstick loaf pan. Set loaf pan and remaining melted butter aside

Stir flour and sugar together in a large bowl. Stir in beer and mix until a shaggy, sticky dough forms. Cover with plastic wrap and allow to sit for 15 minutes

Transfer dough to the prepared loaf pan. Brush 3 tablespoons melted butter over top, smoothing the top of the bread dough a bit as you brush on the melted butter. Reserve about 1 tablespoon of the melted butter for brushing on the baked loaf

Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out with no crumbs attached and the top is light golden brown, 35 to 40 minutes. After removing from the oven, Immediately brush top of the loaf with remaining melted butter

Transfer pan to wire rack and let cool for 5 minutes. Turn loaf out onto a wire rack, turn right side up and let cool completely on rack, at least 1 hour. Slice and serve

This was delicious but it’s impossible to be this low in sodium since the flour has over 1100 mg. I know that’s not your fault as I’m sure you use an app -but for people who must watch sodium this could be a problem. I’ve used a lot of your  recipes over the years and they were all great. Just thought you might want to know about the discrepancy.

I had gathered 4 beer bread recipes with self-rising flour. Got a little confused but I liked yours the best because you said after mixing the ingredients, cover tightly and let sit 15 minutes. I have to say I tried a different recipe last week using monk fruit extract instead of sugar. Didn't rise much and was brown like dark rye bread lol. Tasted ok but I tried your recipe today. I believe that letting the dough rest 15 minutes made all the difference. Used regular sugar but accidently put in 1/4 cup instead of 3 tsps. A Bit sweet, but I can still taste the beer bread part. 3rd time will be the perfect loaves. I baked in 4 mini loaf pans (inside dimensions 5 1/2 x 3 3/4). Baked up perfect in 30 minutes. Thank you So Much.

Can i use something in place of the beer?

Please correct the name of the recipe. There are 4 ingredients, not three. The butter is a necessary ingredient to make this recipe work correctly even if it is 
just to coat the pan and dough. I made the mistake of  leaving out the butter because the recipe said three ingredients and ended up with a dry rock hard bread.
