Shakshuka is an incredibly easy baked egg recipe that works just as well for brunch as it does for dinner. Smoky, sweet peppers combine with rich, creamy eggs and tangy yoghurt and salty feta for a completely moreish dish.

Hairy Bikers Shakshouka

Eggs Benedict is the perfect weekend breakfast or brunch.  Serve with either ham or smoked salmon.

Homemade hollandaise sauce is much easier to prepare than you may think and beats any kind of shop-bought variety.

This recipe allows you to make six perfect poached eggs ready to serve at the same time.  It's all in the prep!

Eggs Benedict

1–2 tbsp finely snipped fresh chives

Shakshuka means ‘mix-up’ in Arabic and is found on many breakfast menus. It uses mostly store cupboard ingredients and is infinitely adaptable – try it as a healthy weekend breakfast or an easy dinner to use up any veg languishing in the fridge. Aubergine, feta or spicy sausage are all lovely additions.

This British shakshuka is fun! It’s the full English – sausages, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans and eggs – all cooked in one pan. And if you like a bit of brown sauce with your brekkie, it’s used to glaze the sausages and give a subtle tang to the tomato sauce.

If I hadn’t eaten the Turkish eggs at Peter Gordon’s restaurant, I most certainly wouldn’t be tempted by the idea of poached eggs on Greek yoghurt. I say that only to pre-empt any hesitancy on your part. For çilbir, pronounced “chulburr”, is a revelation and a complete sensation.
