In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium high heat. Add 1 cup of the apples, the honey or brown sugar, and sprinkle in the spices and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the apples are softened.

Pour in the water, turn the heat up...

Pour in the water, turn the heat up to high, and bring to a low boil. Add the oats and reduce the heat to medium/medium high. Cook, stirring occasionally for 3-5 more minutes.

Add the walnuts (if using), and continue cooking...

Add the walnuts (if using), and continue cooking until most of the liquid is absorbed. Divide the oatmeal between two bowls, sprinkle each with the remaining apples, drizzle with a little more honey, and splash 1/4 cup milk into each bowl.

Instant Pot Apple Pie Oatmeal

Set your pressure cooker (click HERE  (affiliate) if you need to buy one!) to saute and add in butter. Allow butter to melt, spreading it across the bottom of the instant pot.

Add in the oats and stir to coat in the butter. Stir continuously for approximately 2 minutes or until the oats are starting to toast.

Pour in the water, cider, brown sugar, cinnamon, and apple. Stir to combine.

Switch instant pot to "pressure cook" and set for 8 minutes.

When it's done cooking, allow to sit closed for 5 minutes, naturally releasing some of the steam. Then press the release and allow the remaining steam to leave the pot.

Open the pot (be careful!) and stir to freshen up the oatmeal. Doesn't it smell amazing?!

Serve hot topped with fresh whipped cream, more diced apples, and walnuts if desired.

Warm Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal with Protein

In a small saucepan, combine oats and milk. Simmer until liquid has absorbed into the oats, stirring frequently to prevent burning, for about 8 minutes. 

Meanwhile, in a separate small saucepan, spray coconut oil cooking spray or other nonstick cooking spray or add 1 teaspoon oil; heat over medium heat. Add the diced apple chunks and spray apple with cooking spray. Stir in a dash of cinnamon or apple pie spice and cook for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft. 

Once oats are cooked, remove from heat and stir in apple pie spice (just plain cinnamon will work if that&#039;s what you&#039;ve got). Stir in protein powder last, if using. I like to add about 1/4 cup milk while stirring in protein powder.

Top oatmeal with apples, nut butter and chopped pecans. Enjoy!

Meal Prep Friendly Baked Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Cups

In a large mixing bowl, add the oats, ground flaxseed, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Stir to combine. Add the almond milk, applesauce, maple syrup and vanilla extract. Mix well. Fold in the diced apple. 

Evenly divide the oatmeal mixture among 12 muffin cups that have been lightly greased with cooking spray. Top with extra apple pieces and a sprinkle of cinnamon if you like. Bake for 25 minutes, until golden brown and the oatmeal cups spring back when touched. 

Allow the oatmeal cups to cool completely before transferring to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or in the freezer for up to a few months.

Cinnamon Apples: Warm a small saucepan over medium heat and melt the butter or oil. Add the apples, maple syrup, cinnamon, salt, and water and stir well. Sauté for 5 to 7 minutes until the apples are tender and translucent, stirring occasionally. Remove half of the cooked apples from the pan and set aside.

Cook the Oatmeal: Add the oatmeal, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, salt, milk, water, maple syrup or brown sugar, and vanilla to the pot. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium and simmer until thickened to your liking, about 5 to 7 minutes. (Keep in mind that the oatmeal will thicken slightly as it cools.) Stir occasionally to keep the oatmeal from sticking to the bottom of the pan. Taste the oatmeal and add more sweetener if necessary.

Serve: Divide into serving bowls. Top with the remaining cinnamon apples and 1 tablespoon of chopped nuts. Serve warm; leftovers will keep in the fridge for up to 5 days and are best reheated on the stovetop with a splash of extra milk or water.

Combine the oatmeal ingredients in a pot. This includes rolled oats, plant-based milk, water, peanut butter caramel, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Transfer the pot to a stovetop over medium heat. Cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring frequently, until thick and creamy.

While the oatmeal is cooking, warm a skillet over medium-low heat. Lightly grease it with coconut oil (or nonstick spray). Add diced apple, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, and ground nutmeg. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the apples are warm and soft.

Preheat

If baking now, preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 C).

Blend

In a medium-size bowl or in a blender combine the milk, almond butter, maple syrup, sugar, starch, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, and salt. Whisk or blend until smooth.

Combine

Add the oats to a 9-inch square baking pan. Arrange the chopped apple in an even layer on top of the oats, followed by the cranberries. Pour the wet ingredients on top.

If baking now, sprinkle nuts on top and transfer to oven. If assembling in the evening and baking in the morning, don&#x27;t add walnuts yet. Cover the dish and refrigerate overnight.

Bake

In the morning, preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 C), and sprinkle nuts on top. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until bubbly and hot. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Super tasty, healthy and easy. Today I made a variation with chopped precooked sweet potatoes instead of apples. And added some pea protein to the milk mixture.

Terrific recipe!  The only problem is that I had it for breakfast and then dessert after lunch and dinner :-).

This is my new favorite breakfast! I didn't have much luck with the layering the first time I made it - the wet ingredients never made it down to the oats (possibly because I used an 8x8 pan instead of 9x9) but it was still delicious! Now after blending the wet ingredients I mix everything up in a bowl (except the nuts) before adding to the pan. Not as pretty as yours, but, no dry oats 🙂 Thanks for this amazing recipe!!

Apple Cranberry Baked Oatmeal

Creamy cinnamon-infused oatmeal topped with juicy caramelized apples! A comforting and delicious Fall/Winter breakfast!

Salted Caramel Apple Pie Oatmeal

Peel the apples, remove the core, and dice into thick cubes.

Heat the butter in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Once melted, add the diced apples and sauté for 5-7 minutes, or until the apples are tender and slightly golden brown. In the meantime, prepare the oatmeal.

Next, add the coconut sugar, maple syrup, and salt, and stir to coat the apples with the sugar. Cook for another 2 minutes, or until the coconut sugar has melted and the maple syrup has slightly reduced.

Deglaze the skillet with the 3 tbsp of water and stir in the vanilla extract. Cook for another 15-30 seconds, or until the syrup has thickened a little bit. If apples have absorbed all of the syrup, add an extra 2 tablespoons of water.

Remove from heat and cover to keep warm.

Caramelized Apples

In a medium saucepan, combine the rolled oats, apple sauce, almond milk, cinnamon, and salt.

Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, and let simmer uncovered for 5-7 minutes. Stir regularly to make sure oats don&#39;t stick to the bottom of the pan.

Divide between 3 serving bowls and top with the warm caramelized apples! Feel free to add a pinch of extra cinnamon and toasted slivered almonds as well.

This oatmeal is best served immediately but will keep for up to 2 days in the refrigerator. It can be enjoyed as a cold breakfast, or reheated on the stove (you may have to add a little bit more almond milk).

This was yummy and hit the spot. My teenager enjoyed as well and we both especially loved the caramel apples. I had to add an extra cup of water to make sure my oats cooked through and once the water reduced they still had a good texture.

In an 8-inch skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and continue stirring as it cooks for about 30 seconds.

Add the chopped apples and stir to coat them evenly.

Cook the apples, stirring frequently, for 12 to 15 minutes, or until they have softened. The exact time may vary depending on the size of your apple pieces.

Finally, stir the apple and brown sugar mixture into the oatmeal, mixing well before serving.

Apple Cinnamon Steel Cut Oats

milk (I use almond milk)

apple cider (NOT apple cider vinegar)

½ cup steel cut oats

apple, grated

½ tsp apple pie spice

maple syrup (optional)

apples, diced

tbsp butter

sea salt

Add milk, apple cider, and steel-cut oats to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat stirring occasionally.

Lower the heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir often to make sure the oats don’t stick to the bottom of the pan.

Add grated apple, ground cinnamon, apple pie spice, maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract.

Stir to combine and cook for another 5-10 minutes stirring often.

Serve immediately with caramelized apples or your favorite toppings and enjoy!

While the oatmeal is cooking, cook the apples.
