This Baked Feta Appetizer comes together in just minutes with only a handful of ingredients - olives, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh garlic, olive oil, and herbs. Bake it all together with a block of feta cheese until it's warm and creamy then serve with crispy crostini!

Add olives and sun-dried tomatoes to the baking dish around the feta.

In a small dish combine olive oil, sliced garlic, oregano, thyme, rosemary, and a couple pinches of salt and pepper. 

Pour over the block of feta, olives, and sun-dried tomatoes. 

Bake for 20 minutes. Broil for 1-2 minutes.

Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and sliced French bread or crostini. 

When I read that block feta was not easy to find anywhere because of the baked feta craze, I had to find a recipe. This was the bomb—I found my Basque friend in the kitchen scooping up the last of the crumbs and oil with crackers! He is 72, very discriminating and I was so pleased he liked it. Thank you!

Excellent! I love making this and it’s become my current favorite way of eating feta. I put it in the air fryer for the same amount of time (at 175C in Europe), added fresh tomatoes and it turned out a treat!

Do you drain the jar of olives? Drain the sundries tomatoes if in oil?

Rich, creamy feta cheese is baked to perfection with tomatoes and spices that&#39;s simply divine when mixed with penne pasta!

Baked Feta and Tomato Pasta

block full fat feta cheese

cherry tomatoes

garlic

Italian seasoning

red pepper flakes

black pepper

basil

penne pasta (or other choice)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Place the block of feta cheese in the middle of a 13 x 9 inch baking dish.

Arrange cherry tomatoes around block of cheese.

Insert several cloves of garlic around tomatoes.

Sprinkle block of feta cheese with Italian seasoning, dried garlic (optional), red pepper flakes and coarse pepper.

Drizzle extra virgin olive oil over cheese and tomatoes.

Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes until tomatoes are bursting and cheese is melting.

Burst open all of the tomatoes with a spoon, then stir with cheese until a creamy sauce forms.

Stir in basil slivers.

Mix in penne pasta and serve immediately.

I loved how simple and easy this recipe was! Great for a quick week night meal.

This is SO EASY and if one adds toasted pine nuts, it’s really amazing!

Wow, I have to say this is about the best thing I’ve ever tasted! Got to try it last night (thanks, Debi!) and it was hard to stop! The olives you added were a nice touch, but I believe the fresh basil was perfect!
